Bacon & Cheddar Croissant Bites

As much as I hate to admit it, Marley is getting older. I'm trying to embrace it and let her help me more; cleaning up, setting the table for dinner, and cooking with Mommy. She is always so excited when I let her help like a 'Big Girl'. I hope I can show her how much fun cooking is and maybe one day she'll love it as much as I do.
This morning, we made up our own breakfast croissant concoction together. The great thing about buying the crescent dough is that you can put just about anything in it and it will be good! Other croissant bites I've made before: PB & J, mozzarella stick & pepperonis, roast beef & provolone cheese, party size pigs in a blanket, and ham & cheddar.

Recipe continued after the jump...

Bacon & Cheddar Croissant Bites
Makes 8 'bites'.
  • 1 pack of ready to bake crescent rolls
  • 8 pieces of cooked bacon
  • about 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg beat with 2 TB milk for egg wash
1. Preheat oven 350°.
2. Wash the egg on the open crescent dough.
3. Stack on 1 piece of bacon. (To fit best, fold in half twice to get four small pieces.)
4. Sprinkle cheese on top.
5. Roll crescent up and place on a greased baking-sheet.
6. Repeat until all 8 rolls are filled.
7. Wash the tops of your crescent bites with the egg.
8. Bake in the oven about 12-14 mins, until golden brown.

Eat and enjoy!

Marley said "EMMM... these are yummy in my tummy because I made them." HEHE! She's so right!
